Imarti recipe|Indian sweet dish|

Imarti is an Indian sweet that have many alternative names in different parts of India. Such as Amriti, Omriti ,Jahangir, Emarti and many more.It was first made in Mughal  kitchen.
                                     Today I am going to share with you the recipe of this tasty and juicy Imarti.So let's start the recipe.

Ingredients required for this recipe are as follows:

●1 and half cups skinless black lentils (Urad Dal){rinsed and soaked for 2 hrs}
●Half cup all purpose flour(maida)
●3 cups sugar
●1/2 teaspoon orange food color(optional)
●Oil or Ghee for frying
●1 and half cups of water

Method 

Step 1
Heat a saucepan add 3 cups of sugar,1 and half cup of water and 1/4 teaspoon orange food color.Mix all things together and bring the sugar syrup to a boil.After the sugar syrup boils,turn off the flame and keep aside.

Step 2
Put rinsed soaked skinless black lentils in a grinding jar and grind into a fine paste.

Step 3
Take out this paste into a separate bowl and whisk for 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 4
After whisking this batter,leave this batter aside for at least 3 hours at a warm place.

Step 5
After 3 hours, add all purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon orange food color to the lentil batter and mix  for 2-3 minutes.

Step 6
Pour this batter into a sauce bottle or a piping bag.

Step 7
Now, Heat Oil or ghee for frying in a pan at medium flame.

Step 8
As the oil or ghee gets heated make small flower shape Imarties as shown in the image above.Fry the Imarties till it gets crispy.

Step 9
Now,remove the imarti from the oil and soak them in the sugar syrup for 15 seconds.

Step 10
After 15 seconds,take out the Imarti from the sugar syrup.
                Your delicious Imarties are ready to serve.
