CARROT HALWA
Carrot halwa ,also known as gajar ka halwa,gajrela,gajar pak and gajorer halua is a sweet dessert pudding in Indian subcontinent.It is made with carrots which is good source of beta carotene, fiber, vitamin K1,pottasium and Antioxidants.So,lets prepare carrot halwa at home without milk powder and without condensed milk.
Ingredients
2 tbsp Clarified Butter[Ghee]
2 tbsp chopped Almonds
2 cups grated Carrot
1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
1&1/2 glass of Milk
3/4 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Dessicated Coconut
METHOD
STEP-1
Heat a pan.Add clarified butter[ghee] and chopped Almonds and fry for 1 minute at medium flame.
STEP-2
Now,Add grated carrot and cook for 2 minutes at medium flame and add cardamom powder.
STEP-3
Then,Add milk to it and cook till the milk is reduced.
STEP-4
After the milk is reduced well and sugar and cook till it melts.
STEP-5
At last,Add dessicated coconut and give it a final mix and switch off the flame.
Your Carrot Halwa is ready to serve.You can either serve it hot or cold it tastes delicious in both the states.
